MAROC :COMME CHAQUE ANNEE C’EST LA FOIRE AUX LIVRES ANTIJUIFS A CASABLANCA

Depuis 3 jours le Centre Simon Wiesenthal dénonce la vente des livres racistes antijuives et antichértiens à la Foire du livre de Casablanca.

Curieusement aucun média français n’a repris cette information.

Comme tous les ans le centre juif américain Simon Wiesenthal Center fustige le déroulement du Salon international de l’édition et du livre de Casablanca tenu du 12 au 23 février 2015. Il denonce la présence d’œuvres anti-juives au dernier SIEL. Il a affirme avoir une nouvelle fois adressé une lettre au ministre de la Culture, Mohamed Amine Sbihi, dans laquelle il explique que le responsable marocain n’a pas tenu sa promesse de mettre fin à la présentation d’œuvres « antisémites ».
Cette lettre vient du directeur des relations internationales du SWC, Shimon Samuels, d’après le site Algemeiner. Shimon évoque en effet une conversation téléphonique qu’il aurait eue avec le ministre marocain, durant laquelle il a souligné la nécessité d’enlever les livres antisémites des stands. « M. le ministre, vous aviez promis que des mesures seraient prises pour examiner toute présentation dans les stands d’œuvres qui appellent au racisme ou propagent la haine et la violence, comme celles qui violent des valeurs musulmanes et les principes de la monarchie marocaine et de la Constitution », avait-il écrit dans sa lettre.

Selon le directeur du SWC, Sbihi aurait même répondu à sa lettre deux semaines après leur conversation. Le ministre marocain aurait ainsi expliqué curieusement au SWC que les œuvres n’étaient « pas antisémites, mais anti-Israël ». Parmi les livres ciblés, figurent « Les Protocoles des Sages de Sion » et les mémoires de Hitler « Mein Kampf » qui sont comme chacun le sait des œuvres ouvertement antijuives et non pas simplement antisisraéliennes

Le directeur du livre, des bibliothèques et des archives au sein du ministère de la Culture a déclaré qu’il n’était pas au courant de la présence d’oeuvres antisémites au SIEL 2015.

Le SWC estime que le fait d’avoir désigné la Palestine comme invité d’honneur au dernier SIEL a renforcé la présence de livres antisémites. « Le fait que l’invité d’honneur du SIEL 2015 soit l’État la Palestine a sans doute renforcé le nombre de textes de conspiration juifs exposés ». Pour rappel, ce centre avait même interpellé le roi Mohammed VI lors de sa visite à Washington, sollicitant son intervention afin de bloquer les deux propositions de loi criminalisant toute normalisation avec Israël.

In a letter to the Moroccan Culture Minister, Mohammed Amine Sbihi, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, presented his sixth annual monitor of anti-Jewish incitement on the stands of the SIEL (Salon International de l’Edition et du Livre – International Fair of Publishing and Books), held in Casablanca, billed as the most important book fair in the Arab world.
“This year, we have also covered the Doha (Qatar) and Muscat (Oman) Fairs and, though Qatar leads in the variety of Jew-hatred titles, Casablanca is way ahead in volume, with a tip of the iceberg figure of over 100 on display,” stated Samuels, who continued, “the worst recidivists at each Fair were Egyptian, Syrian (under the cover of Lebanon) and Palestinian publishers. That the 2015 Honoured Guest in Casablanca was the “State of Palestine,” undoubtedly added to the number of Jewish conspiracytexts on display.”

The letter reminded the Minister of his telephone call to Samuels following the latter’s meeting with the Moroccan Ambassador to France: “Mr. Minister, you pledged that measures would be taken to vet all stands for displays of racism or fomenting hate and violence, as these violate Muslim values and the principles of the Moroccan monarchy and Constitution.”
Samuels lamented that “no such steps were taken. On the contrary, two weeks after the conversation, the Minister wrote that the volumes named in the Wiesenthal Centre report were ‘not anti-Semitic, but anti-Israel’.”

“We fail to see how ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion’, Henry Ford’s ‘International Jew’ or Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’, published in the early twentieth century, could be anti-Israel, but even if they were, they therefore, apparently, do not offend Muslim values, the Moroccan monarchy or Constitution,” emphasized Samuels, arguing that “these very institutions are, in fact, also targeted by the same Islamists that threaten the Jews in Morocco and beyond.”
The Centre stressed that the following publishers, endorsed by the SIEL, will be reported to the Frankfurt Book Fair, with our recommendation that “they be blacklisted from participating in the 2015 Fair, in that they violate European Union and Council of Europe provisions against racism, German law and the contractual terms of these exhibitors with the Fair authorities.”
